Story # 10

Name: Yahya John Trento
Former religion: Catholic

Born into a Catholic Italian American family, without any real interest in teaching nor applying the Catholic religion, I slowly but surely began to question the oft repeated empty "beliefs" of my family concerning the god-ship of Jesus upon him be peace, and began to wonder who really created us and why?

 Name: Umm Ahmad

I am an American, born and raised in the bread basket of America- Missouri. My mother and father divorced when my brothers and I were young. Both turning to completely different lifestyles, my mother turned to a more materialistic way of life, while my father to a more spiritual way of life. I lived with my mother until I was 12 basically growing up with out any religious way of thinking (we saw our father every other weekend, which was the only time we were really exposed to any sort of religious activities).

Story # 7

Name: Anonymous
Former religion: Catholic

I was born into the Catholic faith but I was really not religious at all and neither was my family. I went to a all girls Catholic school and my parents were very strict and I was not allowed to associate with boys until I graduated high school. My parents were not the affectionate type and they often abused me verbally and sometimes physically. I often felt alone and sad, I even thought about committing suicide when I was in my early teen years.

Story # 6

Name: Anonymous
Former religion: Christianity
Bismillah ir-Rahman ir-Rahim: From the moment I was born I was essentially put into a Christian family. At a young age I started going to church with my aunt & sister. It wasn’t until September 11, 2001 I heard about Islam. Although everyone around me were saying Muslims are terrorists’, none the less I wanted to learn about this so-called “terrorist” religion. By this time I had slowly stopped going to church.

"Assalamu Alaikum wa rahmatulahi wa barakatu!!!! Alhumdulilah we have been guided to Islam! May Allah continue to preserve us and keep us on the straight path, and Insha’Allah brings our families to the truth! Ameen With that being said…..Here’s my story!!

I accepted Islam a month before my 21st birthday. A little back history. I was your typical Christian at the time. My parents raised me to be respectful, to worship the Trinity, to do well and not question religion. I went to church, but it was more of a fashion show for me or to see my friends.

Story # 4

Name: Noor
Background

I’m a 20 year old girl born and raised in Norway, by Christian parents. In my hometown there are 7 churches and no mosques, and hardly any Muslims. My family has never been very religious but I was thought to believe in Jesus Christ as my Savior. And I didn’t really question Christianity while growing up. All my family members and others around me were Christians. It was just natural – ‘the way it was’. Still, I accepted Islam one week before I turned 19. Alhamdulillah (all praise & thanks be to God).
